Q: What kind of books will we read?

We choose books that are related to business and personal development - because as you know, running a business is a personal development journey in itself!

Q: When does the book club meet?

We meet every six weeks via Zoom - usually on a Wednesday afternoon.

Q: What if I struggle to find time to read?

You are definitely not alone in that struggle! In fact, that's one of the reasons that many of our members join the book club. To help you with this, we hold at least two virtual co-reading sessions each week. These are optional 30-minute sessions where we meet on Zoom and read quietly together. We recommend that you try at least one, as they are very effective.

Q: What if I haven't finished the book?

That's ok - we know that sometimes life takes over. Come along to the meetings anyway. It's an opportunity to say hello, as well as pick up some new ideas and share your thoughts on the parts you have read.

Q: Will the meetings be recorded?

In the interest of giving everyone a safe space to share their thoughts and ideas, book club meetings will not be recorded. We do share a summary of the key discussion points by email after each meeting though.

Q: This sounds great, but I'm already swamped. How will I have time to do it?

The video content is 1.5 hours long but it’s broken into short lessons that are mostly 5 minutes long. Spend as much time as you want to filling in the worksheets and the reflective exercises. The information you record there will be useful to other aspects of running your business so it will be time well spent. And spending time on this aspect of learning will save you time later on by avoiding potential pitfalls when choosing and collaborating with a VA.
